Subject: REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL RFP93-1
SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF PLAYGROUND STRUCTURE
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report TR-72-93 be received;
2 . THAT Belair Recreational Products Inc. , Brantford,
Ontario, with a total bid price of $13,344 .72 be awarded
the contract to supply and install a Playground Structure
at Soper Creek Park, as required by the Department of
Community Services; and
3. THAT the funds expended be drawn from the Community
Services 1993 Capital Budget Account # 7603-1-516 .
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT•
A request for proposal was advertised in the local papers, in
addition to five known manufacturers being invited to bid.
Subsequently, bids were received and tabulated as follows:

Request for Proposal RFP93-1 - Supply and Installation of
Playground Structure
The required funds will be drawn from the Community Services
approved 1993 Capital Budget Account #7603-1-516 and are within the
$20,000 . 00 allocated as reflected on page 210 of the 1993 Capital
Budget.
After further review and analysis of the bids by Purchasing and

Community Services, it is recommended that Belair Recreational
Products Inc. , Brantford, Ontario, be recommended for the contract
award to supply and install a Playground Structure at Soper Creek
Park, as required by the Municipality of Clarington.
The subject firm have previously performed satisfactorily for the
Municipality of Clarington.
