It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend
to Council the following:
1. THAT Report TR-30-96 be received for information. j

BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
1.0 On January 29, 1996,the Ontario Legislature passed the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act.
This Act requires the Municipality to disclose annually the names, positions, salaries and
taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more a year.
1.1 In 1995, no employees were paid a salary, as defined in the Public Sector Salary Disclosure
Act, 1996, of $100,000 or more by the Municipality of Clarington.
1.2 The Municipality is required to submit this information to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs
and Housing and to include the information in the Municipality's annual financial statements.
