THAT Report TR-94-97 be received; 2 . THAT Langley Utilities Contracting Limited, Bowmanville, Ontario, with a bid in the amount of $121, 300 . 00 plus GST, being the lowest responsible bidder meeting all terms, conditions and specifications of Tender CL97-22, be awarded the contract for Darlington Soccer Field Lighting; I 3 . THAT the total project cost detailed in a letter from Totten Sims Hubicki Associates, marked Schedule "C" attached, is estimated at $200, 100 . 00, including construction, final design, contract administration, Ontario Hydro facilities, contingencies and G.S.T. , be drawn from the Public Works 1995 Capital Budget Carryover Account 1110-196-0000; and i 4 . THAT the attached By-law marked Schedule "A" authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to execute the necessary agreement be approved; FORTHWITH. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: Plans were provided by Totten Sims Hubicki Associates for the lighting at Darlington Soccer Fields as required by the Public Works Department . The total project cost detailed in a letter from Totten Sims Hubicki Associates, marked Schedule "C" attached, is estimated at $200, 100 . 00, including construction, final design, contract administration, Ontario Hydro facilities, contingencies and G.S .T. The required funds will be drawn from Public Works 1995 Capital Budget Carryover Account 1110-196-0000 ($215, 000 . 00) . The Treasurer has reviewed the funding requirements and concurs with the recommendation. Queries with respect to department needs, specifications, etc . , should be referred to the Director of Public Works . Langley Utilities Contracting Limited currently has the street light servicing contract for the Municipality and has performed their duties satisfactorily and with a high regard for safety, workmanship and scheduling. As the summer construction season is almost over, time is of the essence, and in order that the Darlington Soccer Field lighting contract be completed, a FORTHWITH approval is requested. THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington, and seal with the Corporation Seal, a Contract between Langley Utilities Contracting Limited and said Corporation; and 2. THAT this agreement attached hereto as Schedule "A" form part of this By-law. By-law read a first and second time this day of October, 1997. By-law read a third time and finally passed this day of October, 1997.
