(416)263-2231 REPORT TO THE COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 7, 1982 REPORT NO. : PD-95-82 i i SUBJECT: PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO BY-LAW 2111 ,as amended, of the Former Township of Darlington as proposed in Report PD-92-82 RECOMMENDATION: I It is respectfully recommended: I 1 . That this Report be received; and I 2. That the By-law attached to Report PD-92-82, be * revised (as attached) to show a 1 .25 metre side and rear yard requirement for accessory uses, and approved, as amended. 3. That upon approval of the attached By-law 82- the Clerk be directed to provide notice through publication. BACKGROUND: Following discussions at the May 31st General Purpose and Administration Committee meeting relative to proposed amendments to the Darlington Zoning By-law, Planning staff i have reviewed the yard requirements for accessory buildings set out in Section 3 of the draft amendment. Staff now feel that it would be appropriate to revise Section 3(3) of the �I proposed amendment to reduce the yard requirement from 2.5 to 1 .25 metres for all accessory buildings, without a limiting size being specified. I Planning staff have discussed this proposed revision with Newcastle's Fire Chief and understand that this change would / not detrimentally affect fire protection activities. �J Report No: PD-95-82 . . ./2 Staff are therefore recommending that the change noted above be incorporated into the draft By-law and that the By-law be approved by Council .
