SUBJECT: Report on Resolution of discrepancy among Soils Consultants' Reports
for the Newtonville area.

As you are aware, the public participation process involved in
the Newtonville District Plan has produced several Soils Consultants' Reports,
which conflict with the findings of the Underwood, McLellan and Associates
Limited Rural "Community Servicing Study:, Since this study was used as a
basis for the recommendations contained in the Hamlet Plan, more particularly,
in the delineation of the "Area Restricted to Rural Uses", we feel it is very
important to the residents of Newtonville that this apparent conflict be
resolved. For this reason, we request permission to meet with the Underwood,
McLellan and Associates Limited to discuss the findings of their report in
light of the information supplied by the other Soils Consultants' Reports.
