SUBJECT: Official Plan Amendment Application - Part Lot 26,
Concession II, former Township of Darlington

BACKGROUND:
On July 5, 1979, the Town received the above noted application
for an amendment to the Durham Regional Official Plan. The Region
has requested our comments prior to the resumption of the Ontario
Municipal Board hearings.
COMMENTS:
In accordance with Council adopted procedures for the processing
of Official Plan amendments, we have circulated the proposal to Town
Departments and external agencies. Since this is a type A application,
the Region has advertised the subject amendment in order to solicit pub-
lic input and ascertain the necessity of a public hearing.
Upon completion of our review of this application, we shall pre-
pare a further report outlining our recommendations.

That the Planning and Development Committee recommend to
Council the following:
