SUBJECT: Official Plan Amendment Application - Salco Sand and Gravel
Part Lot 32, Concession 10, former Township of Clarke
File: 79-8/D
BACKGROUND:
In March of this year, the Town was forwarded the above noted
application for comment. The applicant is seeking a redesignation of
the subject lands from "Major Open Space-Oak Ridges Moraine" to "Extractive
Industrial" to permit the extraction of sand and gravel. The subject appli-
cation was circulated to various agencies by both this Department and
Regional staff in order to solicit comments. It was also advertised by
this Department in order to obtain public input. At the date of writing,
we had received responses to the internal circulation and public notice;
however, we have not yet received the responses to the Region's circulation.
COMMENTS:
Inasmuch as we require all comments relative to this application

prior to making a recommendation to the Committee, this matter will be ✓(j
dealt with by a further staff report in the near future. n\
