SUBJECT: Town's Position Regarding O.M.B. Referrals of Durham
Regional Official Plan
2. Hamlets, R-69, Oceanfront Dev. Ltd.
8. Specific Sites, R-59, Oceanfront Dev. Ltd.
BACKGROUND:
These referrals were based on requests by the applicant
for modifications to the Durham Regional Official Plan to permit in-
clusion of a site within the Hamlet of Orono or a Special Purpose
Commercial designation in lieu (R-69) and an Industrial designation
(R-59) and adjustment to the Bowmanville Urban boundary. At the time
of writing, we had been advised by Mr. J. Blair of the Durham Regional
Planning Department that they have on file a letter of withdrawal from
the applicant, but that they had not yet received formal notification
from the Ministry.
COMMENT:
Inasmuch as these referrals have been withdrawn, no further
action is required by the Town.

In our letter of September 21st , 1976 addressed to
1.Krs. Santos , we set out the particulars of our request for
referral to the Ontario Municipal Board of the Land use
designations for the following properties under the Durham
Region Official. Plan:
I. Oceanfront Developments Ltd. , Part Lot 29 ,
Concession 4 , Township of, Clarke --- labelled
R69.
2. Oceanfront Developments Ltd. , hart Lot 6 ,
Broken Front Concession , Township of Darlington -
labelled R59.

Maps showing the location of these lands are enclosed
for your assistance. We are writing to advise that we have
been instructed to withdraw the request for referral
respecting these lands , and we invite the Minister to reques t
that these references be .returned to him from the Ontario
Municipal Board so that the proposed land use designations
may be approved.

application for an Official Plan Amendment for residential
development with respect to the lands in the Township of
Clarke at a future date. With respect to -the lands in the
Township of Darlington, our client is no longer the owner of
these lands and. accordingly, has no interest in them.
