SUBJECT: Amendment to Durham Regional Official Plan - Future North-
South Arterial Road in Bowmanville
Comments:
We attach for your consideration copies of correspondence
received relative to the above noted subject matter. The nature of
this correspondence is to request a Council resolution directing
Regional Council to defer a decision on the amendment until such
time as the Bowmanville Urban Area Plan has been completed.
As indicated by the correspondence, this matter has been dis-
cussed at the staff level and a deferment would be acceptable, consid-
ering the impending completion of the respective Urban Area Plan.
Recommendation:
Based on the foregoing and the attached correspondence, we
recommend the following:
"That the Region of Durham be requested to defer a decision
on the proposed amendment to the Durham Regional Official
Plan regarding the location of a future north-south arterial
road in east Bowmanville pending the completion of the

Bowmanville Urban Area Plan. "
