REPORT NO. : PD-123-83 SUBJECT: APPLICATION FOR REZONING PART OF LOT 35, CONCESSION 2 GEOGRAPHIC TOWNSHIP OF DARLINGTON GATEHOUSE HOLDINGS LIMITED OUR FILE: DEU 83-8 RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1 . That Report PD-123-83 be received; and 2. That the attached by-law, being a by-law to amend By-law 2111, as amended, in respect of Part of Lot 35, Concession 2, Geographic 7 '11 Township of Darlington be approved. i i I BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: I On April 28, 1983, staff received an application for rezoning in respect of proposed Plan of Subdivision 18T-81034, Gatehouse Holdings Limited. The subject i application for rezoning was submitted in order to satisfy Y" REPORT NO. : PD-123-83 Page 2 the conditions of draft plan approval as imposed by the Regional Municipality of Durham and requested by the Town of Newcastle. The subject application was circulated in accordance with departmental procedures and the comments received were similar to, if not the same as those received during the processing of the subdivision application. As a result of the department's consideration, staff prepared the attached amendment to By-law 2111, as amended, and in order to expedite the registration of this Plan of Subdivision, it would be appropriate for Council to approve same.
