SUBJECT: BY-LAW NUMBER 72-82:
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SCUGOG
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the
following:
1 . That Report PD-198-82 be received; and
- 2. That By-law 72-82 of the Township of Scugog be
received and filed.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
By-law 72-82 of the Township of Scugog was forwarded to the
Planning and Development Department on November 4, 1982.
The subject By-law rezones a parcel of land located on the
west side of Lilla Street in the Hamlet of Port Perry. The
proposed By-law amendment would change the zoning of these
lands from "R2-Residential " to "RM-1 Residential " in order
to allow the construction of a Link Dwelling
(Semi-detached).

The subject lands are located in an area which would not
have an effect on the Town of Newcastle, and therefore, no
further action on this By-law amendment is required.
However, we note that the last date for filing objections
was November 24, 1982.

of Section 39 of Tht Planning Act for approval of By-Lair #72-82 passed

ANY PERSON INTERESTED MAY, within twenty-one (21)'days after the► date of
this notice, send by registered mail or.deliver to the clerk of the Town-
ship of SWS09 notice of objection to approval of the said by-law or part
thereof giving details of all or the portion of the by-law to which you
Object &W detailed reasons therefor, and sbail indicate that if a heap-
ing is held the objector or an agent will attend at the hearing to support
the objection:

law will be considered. Notice of any hearing that may be held will be
given only to persons who have filed ao objection or notice of support
and who have left with-orl delivered to-the clerk undersigned, the sddreas
to which notice of hearing is to be sent and, similarly, to any person
Who.has filed a request for a changer in the provisions of the by-law.

RESTRICTED AREA BY-LAW NUMBER 72-82 i
BEING A BY-LAW PASSED PURSUANT TO THE PRO-
VISIONS OF SECTION 39 OF THE PLANNING ACT,
R. S.O. 1980, C. 379, AS AMENDED TO AMEND
ZONING BY-LAW NO. 75-80. j

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the -Township
Of Scugog has received a request to amend Restricted Area By-Law
No. 75-80, the comprehensive zoning By-Law, insofar as is
necessary .to rezone those lands forming part of Lots 16 and 17,
R. P.' No. 2, Ward . II , adjacent the• more westerly limit of Lilla '
St .. and located within the hamlet of Port Perry, within an
Urban Residential 'Multiple TYFe -1 (RM-1) Zone and thereby
provide for the future development � of the lands for those
residential purposes and .activities permitted within the
aforementioned zone;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of. Scugog has reviewed the request and considers it
reasonable to allow for the redevelopment of the property for
residential purposes in accordance with the provisions of the
Residential Multiple Type 1 (RM-1) Zone as established by By-Law
No . 75-80, as amended;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION. OF THE TOWNSHIP
OF SCUGOG Enacts As Follows :
1 . That Schedule 11A411, the Zone Map forming part of Restricted
Area By-Law -No . 75-80, as otherwise amended, is hereby
further amended by rezoning those lands in part - of Lots 16
and 17, R. P . No. 2, Ward II as delineated on the Zone Map
attached hereto as Schedule "A" and forming part of this
By-Law, from the Urban Residential Type Two (R2) Zone to the i
Urban Multiple Type 1 (RM-1) Zone.
2. That this By-Law shall come into full force and effect on
the date of passing hereof by the Council of the Corporation

of the Township of Scugog, subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board.
Read a First , Second and Third time and finally passed this
25th day of October, 1982 .
