SUBJECT: BY-LAW NUMBER 68-82:
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SCUGOG
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the
following:
1 . That Report PD-192-82 be received; and
2. That By-law Number 68-82 of the Township of
Scugog be received and filed.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
By-law 68-82 of the Township of Scugog was forwarded to the
Planning and Development Department on October 27, 1982.
The subject By-law is an amendment to Restricted Area
(Zoning) By-law 75-80 of the Township of Scugog, in order to
permit a Motor Vehicle Repair Garage, with accessory uses,
on a parcel of land located in part of Lot 13, Concession 5,
of the Township of Scugog.

The lands affected by this amendment are located within an
area of Scugog which would not have an effect on the Town of
Newcastle. Therefore, no further action on this By-law
would be required. However, the last date for filing
objections is November 17, 1982.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION to The Ontario Municipal Boa

approval of a by-law to regulate land use gassed CCU" 1
pursuant to 'Section 39 of The Planning Act.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Scugog
intends to apply to The Ontario Municipal Board pursuant to the provisions
of Section 39 of The Planning Act foie approval of By-Law # 68-82 passed
on the 13th day of October 2982• A copy of the by-law is furnished
herewith and a note giving an explanation of the purpose and effect of the
by-law and stating the lands affected thereby is also furnished herewith.
ANY PERSON INTERESTED MAY, within twenty-one (21) days after the date of
this notice, send by registered mail or deliver to the clerk of the Town-
ship of Scugog notice of objection to approval of the said by-law or part
thereof giving details of all or the portion of the by-law to which you
object and detailed reasons therefor, and shall indicate that if a hear-
ing is held the objector or an agent will attend at the hearing to support
the objection.
ANY PERSON wishing to support the application for approval of the by-law
may within twenty-one (21) days after the- date of this notice send by
registered mail or deliver to the clerk .of the Township of Scugog notice
of his support of approval of the said by-law together with a request
for. notice of any. hearing that may be held giving also the name and
address to which such notice should be given.
THE ONTARIO MUNICIPAL BOARD may approve of the said by-law but before -
doing so it may appoint a time and place when any objection to the by-
law will be considered. Notice of any hearing that may be held will be -
_given only to persons who have filed an objection or notice of support
and who have left with or delivered to the clerk undersigned, the address
to which notice`of hearing is to be sent and, similarly, to any person
who has filed a request for a change in the provisions of the by-law.
THE LAST DATE FOR FILING OBJECTIONS will be November 17 , 1982

Explanatory Note Re: By-Law No 62-82
The purpose and effect of By-Law No. 68-82 is to rezone the subject lands
to permit a Motor Vehicle Repair Garage and accessory uses. The property
is surplus to the Region requirements and the purchaser wishes to• operate
the garage.

BEING A BY-LAW PASSED PURSUANT TO THE PRO-
:! VISIONS OF SECTION 39 OF THE PLANNING ACT,
I R. S . O. 1980 , c. 379, AS AMENDED TO
AMEND
BY-LAW NO. 75-80 .

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township
Of Scugog has received a request to amend Restricted Area By-Law
j No . 75-80, the comprehensive zoning By-Law, insofar as is
i
!f necessary to rezone those lands forming part of Lot 13, Conc. 5,
Ward I , adjacent the more easterly limit of Highway No. 7 and
12 and located within the hamlet of Manchester, within a Special
Purpose Commercial (C4) Zone and thereby provide for the future
development use of the lands for those commercial purposes and
activities permitted within the aforementioned zone;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Scugog has reviewed the request and considers it
reasonable to allow for the redevelopment of the property for
commercial purposes in accordance with the provisions of the

Special Purpose Commercial (C4) Zone as established by By-Law
No . 75-80, as amended;

NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP
OF SCUGOG Enacts As Follows :

1 . That Schedule "A711 , the Zone Map forming part of Restricted
Area By-Law No . 75-80, as otherwise amended, is hereby
further amended by rezoning those lands in part of Lot 13 ,
Conc . 5, Ward I as delineated on the Zone Map attached hereto
as Schedule "A" and forming part of this By-Law, from the
General Industrial Exception Six (M2-6) Zone to the Special
i Purpose Commercial (C4) Zone.
2 . That this By-Law shall come into full force and effect on
the date of passing hereof by the Council of the Corporation
of the Township of Scugog, subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board.
Read a First , Second and Third time and finally passed this
13th day of October, 1982 .
