SUBJECT: BY-LAW NUMBER 50-82:
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SCUGOG
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the
following:

1 . That Report PO-167-82 be received; and
2. That By-law Number 50-82 of the Township of
_• Scugog be received and filed.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:

By-law Number 50-82 of the Townsh+p of Scugog was forwarded
to the Planning and Development Department on September 23,
r 1982. The subject By-law is an amendment to Restricted Area
F'
(Zoning) By-law Number 75-80 of the Township of Scugog in
order to amend the Rural Industrial Exception 23 zone
designation by adding and recognizing the existing use of a
cartage or transportation depot and yard facilities. The
lands affected by the subject amendment are located in Part
of Lot 15, Concession 7 within the Township of Scugog and
therefore would not have an effect on the Town of
Newcastle.

In that regard, no further action on this By-law amendment
would be required. However, the last date for filing
objections is October 13, 1982.

RESTRICTED AREA BY-LAW NO . 50-82
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND ZONING 8Y-LAW NO. 75-80
AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town-
ship of Scugc�g has received a request to amend Restricted Area
By-Law Igo. 75-80 as amended insofar as is necessary to revise
the provisions of the aural Industrial ception Twenty-Three
(M3-23) Zone as it applies to those lands forming part of
Lot 15, Concession VII, Ward. One, adjacent the northerly limit
of Regional Road No . 8, so as to recognize the cartage or
transportation depot and yard facilities in addition to those
uses which are presently in . ex.istencev _
AND 1,%THEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Scugog has reviewed the request and considers it
reasonable to -urther mend. 8y-Law No. 75-80, as otherwise
amended;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
TOW SHIL.P OF SCUGCG E:n.a.cts As Follows :
1 , That Section 4 . 25 .9 , Rural Industrial Exception Twenty
Three (M3-23) Zone, of Restricted. Area By-Law No. 75-80,
be and the sate, is hereby amended by inserting the words
3°a Cartage or Transportation Repeat and Yard Facilities"
such that the said Section reads as -follows :

Notwithstanding the non.-residential uses permitted with
the Rural Industrial CM3) Zone as set forth under Section
4 . 25 .1 hereof the contrary, within the Rural Industrial
Exception Twenty-Three CM3-23) Zone, as delineated on the
Zone Map attached hereto as Schedule "Al" and forming parr
of this By-Law, the non-residential uses permitted shall
be restricted to that of only a general contractor' s yard
and a Cartage or Transportation Depot and Yard Facilities
together with such ether accessory uses, buildings and
structures as are norRtally considered inncidental and sub-
ordinate thereto . In all other. respects the provisions
of the Rural Indus try a.l.. rM3) Zone shall apply, and be

2 . That this By-Law shall. come into full farce and effect
on the date it is passed by the Council € f the
Corporation of the Township of Scugo.g. Subject to
approval from the Ontar-i Q Municipal Board.
