REPORT TO THE COUNCIL MEETING OF APRIL 11 1983

SUBJECT: CALLING OF TENDERS FOR THE MAIN
STREET REVITALIZATION PROJECT,
BOWMANVILLE PARKING LOTS
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1 . That this report be received; and
2. That staff be authorized to proceed with the calling of
tenders for the construction of the Church and
Silver Street business area parking lots.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
As members of Council are aware, staff, through Totten, Sims , Hubicki ,
have been preparing construction and contract documents for the
construction of the above noted parking lots and are now in a
position to proceed with the calling of tenders.
Members of Council will recall that these works are being financed
under the Provincial Main Street Revitalization Program and are
partially financed through the 1983 current budget.
It is hoped that construction can proceed within the next few
weeks with completion by the week of May 23rd 1983.
