SUBJECT: REZONING APPLICATION AND SITE PLAN APPROVAL - ANN PSILOPOULIS
PART LOT 25, CONCESSION 2, DARLINGTON

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-213-86 be received; and
2. THAT the application submitted by Mrs. A. Psilopoulis to rezone a 1.63 hectare
parcel in Part Lot 25, Concession 2, former Township of Darlington to permit the
existing residences, repair garage and service station and to permit a Motor
Vehicle Sales establishment be referred to Staff for processing and subsequent
report and public hearing.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On July 16, 1986, the Planning Department received an application submitted by Mrs. Ann
Psilopoulis to rezone a 1.63 hectare (4.02 acre) parcel of land in Part Lot 25, Concession
* 2, former Township of Darlington (see attached map). The purpose of the rezoning would be
to permit a new Motor Vehicle Sales establishment accessory to the uses presently on the
site (a repair garage, service station and two (2) residences).

It is recommended that the application be received for information and
referred back to Staff for a subsequent report. At such time as the
necessary circulation has been completed, Staff shall schedule this
application for a public meeting of the General Purpose and Administration
Committee pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act.

The Town of Newcastle Planning and Development Committee is considering an
application for an amendment to Zoning By-law #84-63 and Site Plan approval and,
pursuant to its procedure for processing applications, wishes to obtain your
comments before submitting its recommendations to the Town of Newcastle General
Purpose and Administration Committee for the meeting of October 20, 1986.
