It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:

For the information of the General Purpose and Administration Committee, Staff have
* prepared the attached list of applications to the Committee of Adjustment for the meeting
of August 27, 1986. This list includes the file number, applicant' s name, site location,
type of variance requested, Official Plan Conformity, By-law Conformity, Staff' s comments
on the applications and the Committee of Adjustment 's decision.

APPLICATIONS:
A 49/86 - Ruth Haemmerle, Lot 30, Concession 4, Darlington
Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in
order to permit the applicant to continue the construction of an
Agricultural Building on a 2 acre parcel of land, instead of the
required 5 acre parcel of land for an Agricultural Building,
leaving a 36 ft. side yard, instead of the required 50 ft. side
yard.
Mr. & Mrs. Haemmerle and Miss Haemmerle appeared in support of
this application. Mr. Cook and Mr. Vickery appeared in opposition
to this application.
Moved by Mr. Rehder, seconded by Mr. Barrie,
"THAT as the construction of this Agricultural
Building is not consistent with the Zoning By-law,
as the shortage in Agricultural area that is
required to construct the Agricultural Building
is not minor in nature and as the keeping of
livestock is not compatable with this Residential
Hamlet Area, the application is DENIED."

A 50/86 - Stanley & Ingeborg Seneco, Lot 35, Conc. 6, Clarke
Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in
order to permit the applicant to create a lot with an area of
15,000 sq. ft. (1393 sq. m) , instead of the required 3000 sq. m,
with an existing single family dwelling.
Mr. & Mrs. Seneco appeared in support of this application. No other
person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application.
Moved by Mr. Heming, seconded by Mr. Rehder,
"THAT as this variance would not appear to offend
the intent of the Zoning By-law or Official Plan
and would not have a detrimental effect on the
surrounding properties and as this property was
purchased as two lots in 1965 and are a similar
size to the surrounding properties, this variance
is considered minor in nature and permission is
GRANTED to create a lot with an area of 15,000
sq. ft. (1393 sq. m) . This variance is conditional
upon written confirmation from the Health Dept."

"THAT the minutes of the last meeting be approved
as circulated. "

"THAT the Rules of Procedure for the Committee
of Adjustment be amended to require one application
to be submitted with each application. "

Appeal date for the foregoing applications is September 26, 1986
Next meeting of the Committee of Adjustment is September 17, 1986.
