SUBJECT: NOTICE OF COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT APPLICATION FOR CONSENT

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-218-86 be received for information.

BACKGROUND:
)n August 25, 1986 the Planning Department received a copy of an application for consent
submitted to the Hope Township Committee of Adjustment. Mr. Ronald Bond made application
to create a lot for retirement purposes.
This application is to sever a 1.57 hectare parcel of land for retirement purposes. The
lot created is situated on the East Townline Road between the Town of Newcastle and Hope
Township at Regional Road No. 9. The Durham Region Official Plan has thda—rea designated
as "Major Open Space" and under the provisions of the Town of Newcastle Comprehensive
Zoning By-law 84-63, the land is zoned "Agricultural (A)".

Planning Staff have reviewed this application and it is consistent with the
Official Plan and Zoning By-law. By letter dated September 8, 1986, the
Planning Department advised the Hope Township Committee of Adjustment that
the Town had no objection to this application.
