SUBJECT: NOTICE OF COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT APPLICATION FOR CONSENT
TOWNSHIP OF HOPE
FILES: B 35/86 and B 36/86
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-219-86 be received for information.
BACKGROUND:
Jn August 25, 1986 the Planning Department received a copy of two (2) applications for

consent submitted to the Hope Township Committee of Adjustment. Mr. John Rout made two
(2) applications for consent to consolidate lands to create lots more suitable for rural
residential . The need to eliminate land-locked parcels of land, due to the creation of a
hydro corridor, is another factor in the re-organization.
This site is located a
adz cent to Lot 1 Broken Front Concession in the former Township of
Clarke. The Durham Region Official Plan has this are designated as "Permanent
Agricultural Reserve" and the Town of Newcastle Comprehensive Zoning By-law 84-63
designates the lands "Agricultural (A)".

Planning Staff have reviewed these applications and found them to be
consistent with the Official Plan and Zoning By-law. By letter dated
September 8, 1986, the Planning Department advised the Hope Township
Committee of Adjustment that the Town had no objection to this application.
