RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-234-86 be received for information.

For the information of the General Purpose and Administration Committee, Staff have
* prepared the attached list of applications to the Committee of Adjustment for the meeting
3f September 17, 1986. This list includes the file number, applicant's name, site
location , type of variance requested, Official Plan Conformity, By-law Conformity, Staff's
comments on the applications and the Committee of Adjustment's decision.

APPLICATIONS:
A 2/86 - Frederick,Sandra & Victoria Archibald, Lot 6, Conc. 3, Darl .
Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in
order to permit the applicant to create a lot with an existing
agricultural building having a side yard of 3 m, instead of the
required 15 m side yard.
No person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application.
Moved by Mr. Barrie, seconded by Mr. Rehder,
"THAT as the requested variance does not conform with
the intent of the Official Plan, this variance is not
considered minor in nature and therefore is DENIED. "

Committee of Adjustment Meeting, September 17, 1986. . . . .
A 52/86 - Alan & Kathi Willison, Lot 31 , Conc. 3, Darlington.
Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in
order to permit the applicant to erect an accessory building prior
to the construction of the main residential use.
Mr. Willison appeared in support of this application. No other person
appeared in support of or in opposition to this application.
Moved by Mr. Rehder, seconded by Mr. Barrie,
"THAT as the requested variance does not appear to
conflict with the intent of the Official Plan or
Zoning By-law, permission is GRANTED to place an
accessory building on the lot prior to the construction
of the main use on condition that the applicant enter
into an undertaking with the Town to the effect that
they will commence construction of a primary dwelling
on or before November 1 , 1988, and that in the event
construction is not started, or that they sell the
property prior to that date, to remove the proposed
accessory building. "

Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in
order to permit the applicant to expand a legal non-conforming
building by the construction of a 3600 sq. ft. addition of a hall .
No person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application.
Moved by Mr. Murdoch, seconded by Mrs. Payne,
"THAT as the proposed expansion to the legal non-
conforming building would not appear to offend the
intent of the Zoning By-law and as the expansion
would allow for the more efficient operation of the
30 year old dining facilities, the application is
GRANTED to construct a 3600 sq. ft. addition to the
Hall . This approval is conditional on obtaining
approval of the Regional Health Unit and Central
Lake Ontario Conservation Authority. Also a
detailed Site Plan must be submitted for approval
by the Staff. "

Moved by Mr. . Barrie, seconded by Mr. Reicheld,
"THAT the minutes of the last meeting be approved as
circulated. "

Inspection meeting is September 27, 1986 at 9:30 a.m.
Appeal date for the foregoing applications is October 17, 1986.
