SUBJECT: REZONING APPLICATION - KINGSBERRY PROPERTIES LTD.
PART LOTS 34/35, CONCESSION 1, FORMER TWP. OF DARLINGTON

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
I. THAT Report PD-294-86 be received; and
2. THAT the application submitted by Kingsberry Properties to rezone five (5)
parcels of land, of varying sizes, located in Part Lots 34/35, Concession 1,
former Township of Darlington to permit the development of "Low Density
Residential " on full municipal services be received and referred to Staff for
processing and a subsequent report and public meeting.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On November 14, 1986 the Planning Department received an application submitted by
Kingsberry Properties to rezone five (5) parcels of land in Part Lots 34/35,
* Concession 1, former Township of Darlington (see attached map) . The properties have
been acquired as part of a land acquisition which Kingsberry is undertaking. The
area has been zoned as a "Holding - Urban Residential Type One ( (H)Rl )". The
purpose of the rezoning would be to permit the development of these portions of the
land since the land severances have been approved. The general concept has
previously been approved by Council .

The application has been circulated to various agencies for comment and
* attached is a copy of the circulation letter and key plan for Council 's
information.
It is recommended that the application be received for information and
referred back to Staff for a subsequent report. At such time as the necessary
circulation has been completed, Staff shall schedule this application for a
public meeting of the General Purpose and Administration Committee pursuant to
the requirements of the Planning Act.
