OF DARLINGTON OUR FILE: DEV 86-28 RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. THAT Report PD-1.23-86 be received; and 2. THAT the application submitted by Mr. Thomas Gasc oigne requesting the removal of the (H) Holding symbol from a parcel of land located in Part Lot 24, Concession 5, former Township of Darlington be received and referred to Staff for processing and a subsequent report and public meeting. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: On April 23, 1.986, the Planning Department received an application submitted by Mr. Thomas Gascoigne requesting the removal of the (H) Holding provision on a parcel of land located * in Part of Lot 24, Concession 5, former Township of Darlington (see attached). Within Section 3.9 "Holding Zone" the removal of the said (li) Holding symbol shall be upon Council being satisfied that the uses to be permitted will be adequately serviced, the lands to be used have adequate access, prior uses of the land will not prevent the use of the land for the purposes intended by the by-law, that the lands and proposed uses will be . . .2 REPORT NO.: PD-123-86 Page 2 adequately protected from any physical or man-made hazard or conditions associated with the lands and, that agreements in respect of such matters and the associated financial requirements where required, have been executed with the Town of Newcastle and/or the Regional Municipality of Durham. The application has been circulated to various agencies and Town departments * for their comment and attached is a copy of the circulation letter and key plan for Council ' s information.
