SUBJECT: REZONING APPLICATION - JAMES SAYLES
PART LOT 15, CONCESSION 3, FORMER TWP. OF DARLINGTON

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-132-86 be received; and
2. THAT the application submitted by Mr. ,lames Sayles to rezone a parcel of land
located in Part Lot 15, Concession 3, former Township of Darlington to permit the
development of a Node/Cluster be received and referred to Staff for processing and
a subsequent report and public meeting.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On May 5, 1985, the Planning Department received an application for rezoning from Mr. Mr.
James Sayles to permit the development of a Node/Cluster.
The application has been circulated, in accordance with departmental procedure, to various
agencies and Town departments for their comment. It is noted for the Committee's
information that, pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act, the application has
been scheduled for a public meeting July 7, 1986.

Accordingly, it is recommended that the application be received for
information and referred back to Staff for the preparation of a subsequent
report.

The Town of Newcastle Planning and Development Committee is considering an
application for an amendment to Zoning By-law # R4-63 and, pursuant to its
procedure for processing applications, wishes to obtain your comments before
submitting its recommendations to the Town of Newcastle General purpose and
Administration Committee.
The application is summarized as follows:

3. Applicant's Name: Same as above
4. Applicant's Address: Same as above
5. Location of site, showing lot and concession number and, if
applicable, location of block in relation to cross streets: Part Lot JF,
Concession 3, former Township of Darlington
6. Present Use: residential dwelling; remainder vacant
7. Present Official Plan Designation: "Major Open Space"
8. Present Zoning: "Agricultural (A)"
9. Proposed Use and Description of Applicant's Project: Node/Cluster to permit
an additional residential lot
10. Official Plan Designation Requested by Applicant: N/A
11. Zoning Requested by Applicant: to permit the severance of an additional
residential lot
12. Area of Site: 29n0 sq.m. 13. Anticipated Population: 1 additional
dwelling unit
