RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-140-86 he received; and

2. THAT the application suhmitted by D.G. Dallas on behalf of Kalee Investments
Limited reouesting the removal of the (H) Holding symbol from a parcel of land
located in Part Lot 19 , Concession 8, former Township of Darlington he received and
referred to Staff for processing and a subsequent report and public meeting.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On May 12, 1986, the Planninq Department received an application submitted by Mr. G.
Dallas on behalf of Kalee Investments Limited requesting the removal of the (H) Holdinq
provision on a parcel of land located in Part of Lot 19, Concession 8, former Township of
* Darlington (see attached) .
Within Section 3.9 "Holding Zone" the removal of the said (H) Holding symbol shall he upon

Council being satisfied that the uses to he permitted will he adequately serviced, the
lands to he used have adenuate access, prior uses of the land will not prevent the use of
the land for the purposes intended by the by-law, that the lands and proposed uses will he

adequately protected from any Physical or man-made hazard or conditions
associated with the lands and, that agreements in respect of such matters
and the associated financial requirements where required, have heen executed
with the Town of Newcastle and/or the Regional Municipality of Durham.
The application has been circulated to various agencies and Town denartments
* for their comment and attached is a copy of the circulation letter and key
plan for Council ' s information.
It is recommended that the application he received for information and
referred hack to Staff for the prenaration of a suhsenuent renort.

The Town of Newcastle Planning and Development Committee is considering, an
application for an amendment to Zoning By-law # 84-63 and, pursuant to its
procedure for processing applications, wishes to obtain your comments before
submitting its recommendations to the Town of Newcastle General Purpose and
Administration Committee.
