THAT Report PD-160-86 be received for information. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: On May 29, 1986, the Town of Newcastle received notice from the Hope Township Committee of Adjustment of two (2) applications for severance in Hope Township. The applicant, Mr. Ewert Robinson, has applied to sever a 4.45 hectare (11 acre) parcel from his farm to meld with an adjacent farm property, and to sever a retirement lot from the balance of his farm holdings. The lands subject of the consent applications abut the boundary between Hope Township and the former Town of Newcastle and are located directly adjacent to Lot 1 in Concession 5 and the north part of Concession 4 in the geographic Township of Clarke. These lands are designated "Permanent Agriculture Reserve" by the Durham Regional Official Plan and are zoned "A-1 Agricultural " by By-law 84-63. . . .2 REPORT NO.: PD-160-86 Page 2 Planning Department Staff have reviewed the subject applications and note that the proposed severances are consistent with the policies of the Durham Regional Official Plan and the provisions of By-law 84-63 for adjacent lands in Newcastle. By letter dated June 2, 1986, the Planning Department advised the Hope Township Committee of Adjustment that the Town has no objection to the approval of the subject applications.
