By-Law # MEETING: General Purpose and Administration Committee DATE: Monday, June 16, 1986 REPORT #: PD-165-86 PILE #: DEV 86-36 SUBJECT: REZONING APPLICATION - KRAUSS AND ASSOCIATES (FORMERLY 563186 ONTARIO LIMITED) REMOVAL OF (H) HOLDING SYMBOL FROM PART LOTS 29 & 30, CONCESSION 3, FORMER TWP. OF DARLINGTON OUR FILE: DEV 86-36 RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. THAT Report PD-165-86 be received; and 2. THAT the application submitted by Mr. Marc Senderowitz of Krauss and Associates requesting the removal of the (H) Holding symbol from a parcel of land located in Part Lots 29 and 30, Concession 3, former Township of Darlington be received and referred to Staff for processing and a subsequent report and public meeting. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: On May 22, 1986, the Planning Department received an application submitted by Mr. Marc Senderowitz requesting the removal of the (H) Holding provision on a parcel of land located in Part of Lots 29 and 30, Concession 3, former Township of Darlington (see * attached) . Within Section 3.9 "Holding Zone" the removal of the said (H) Holding symbol shall be upon Council being satisfied that the uses to be permitted will be adequately serviced, the . . .2 V REPORT NO.: PD-165-86 Page 2 I i lands to be used have adequate access, prior uses of the land will not prevent the use of the land for the purposes intended by the by-law, that the lands and proposed uses will be adequately protected from any physical or man-made hazard or conditions associated with the lands and, that agreements in respect of such matters and the associated financial requirements where required, have been executed with the Town of Newcastle and/or the Regional Municipality of Durham. The application has been circulated to various agencies and Town * departments for their comment and attached is a copy of the circulation letter and key plan for Council ' s information.
