RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-194-86 be received; and
2. THAT the application submitted by Mr. Lyle West to rezone a 0.48 hectare parcel of
land located in Part Lot 29, Concession 5, former Township of Clarke to permit a
commercial use on private services be received and referred to Staff for processing
and a subsequent report and public meeting.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On July 4, 1986, the Planning Department received an application submitted by Mr. Lyle
West to remove the (H) Holding Symbol from a 0.48 hectare (1.19 acre) parcel of land in
* Part Lot 29, Concession 5, Orono (see attached map). The applicant proposes to develop a
retail outlet on private water and sewage disposal facilities. The subject property was
rezoned to "(H)C1-2" by By-law 86-41 which is currently before the Ontario Municipal Board
for approval . The "C1-2" zoning requires new uses to be serviced by municipal water;
therefore a rezoning is required to permit the proposed development on private services.

The application has been circulated to various agencies for comment and
* attached is a copy of the circulation letter and key plan for Council 's
information.
It is recommended that the application be received for information and
referred back to Staff for a subsequent report. At such time as the
necessary circulation has been completed, Staff shall schedule this
application for a public meeting of the General Purpose and Administration
Committee pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act.
