THAT Report PD-79-86 be received for information. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: For the information of the General Purpose and Administration Committee, Staff have prepared the attached list of applications to the Committee of Adjustment for the meeting of March 5, 1986. This list includes the file number, applicant's name, site location, type of variance requested, Official Plan Conformity, By-law Conformity, Staff' s comments on the applications and the Committee of Adjustment' s decision. espectfu]-submitted, T.T. Murdoch Member Bernhard Heming Member Arnold Reicheld Member Gordon Barrie Current Operations Planner Larry Taylor Secretary Carrol Clemens APPLICATIONS: A 4/86 - Castcar Investments Limited, Lot. 29, Conc. 1 , Darlington. Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in order to permit the applicant, in conjunction with an industrial development, to provide parking space sizes of 3 m (10 ft. ) by 5.4 m ( 18 ft. ) , instead of the required 3 m by 6 m parking spaces. David McCrone appeared in support of this application. No other person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application. Moved by Mr. Heming, seconded by Mr. Murdoch, "THAT as the proposed variance would appear to conform with the intent of the Official Plan and Zoning By-law and as the proposed reduction in the length of the parking spaces is minor in nature and appears to conform with the lengths of the Parking Space Requirements in neighbouring municipalities, permission is GRANTED to provide parking space sizes of 3 m by 5.4 m." Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in order to permit the applicant to create a lot with an area of 2025 sq. m, instead of the required 3000 sq. m. Mr. Nowosad and his daughter appeared in support of this application. No other person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application. Moved by J. Payne seconded by B. Heming, "THAT as the requested variance does not appear to offend the intent of the Official Plan or Zoning By-law and would not appear to have a detrimental effect on the surrounding area, permission is GRANTED to create a 2025 sq. m lot, being an infilling situaiton with the same area as the other lots in the area. " "CARRIED" OTHER BUSINESS: Moved by P. Murdoch, seconded by G. Barrie, "THAT application No. A 2/86 be deferred until further notice, at the request of the applicant. " "CARRIED" Moved by G. Barrie, seconded by A. Reicheld, "THAT the minutes of the last meeting be approved as circulated. " "CARRIED" Next meeting of the Committee of Adjustment is March 26, 1986.
