V IV, By-Law # MEETING: General Purpose and Administration Committee DATE: April 7, 1986 REPORT #: PD-76-86 FILE #: 18T-81034 SU&JECT: EXTENSION OF DRAFT APPROVAL - 18T-81034 GATEHOUSE HOLDINGS LIMITED PART LOT 35, CONCESSION 2, DARLINGTON RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. THAT Report PD-76-86 be received; and 2. THAT the Regional Municipality of Durham Planning Department be advised that the Town of Newcastle has no objection to the extension of draft approval for Plan of Subdivision 18T-81034 for a further one year period to June 3, 1987; and 3. THAT Gatehouse Holdings Limited be advised of Council ' s decision. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: The draft approval of Plan of Subdivision 18T-81034, located in Part Lot 35, Concession 2, Darlington, is due to expire on June 3, 1986. Staff note that a portion of this plan has been registered (Plan 1OM-764) and is currently being developed. Additionally, Staff would note that Gatehouse Holdings Limited has recently submitted a draft Subdivision Agreement pertaining to the remaining portions of the draft plan. Although a Development Agreement may be completed prior to June 3, 1986, the receipt of final plan approval and registration of same may not precede the deadline date. . . .2 REPORT NO. : PD-76-86 Page 2 Given that Gatehouse Holdings Limited is actively working on the second phase of the plan of subdivision, it is recommended that the Region of Durham be advised that the Town of Newcastle has no objection to the extension of draft approval of Plan of Subdivision 18T-81034 for a further one year period to June 3, 1987. i Respectfull-y-,submitted, v`C '" � T.T. Municipality: Town of Newcastle Commissioner of Planning Please note that approval issued by the Region with respect to the above referenced draft plan will lapse on June 3, 1986 pursuant to the Planning Act unless an extension is granted prior to the lapsing date. The Region is now considering to grant such an extension. If there is any reason the extension should not be given, please advise me immediately.
