SUBJECT: REZONING AND SITE PLAN APPLICATION - W.E. ROTH CONSTRUCTION
PART LOT 34, CONCESSION 2, BLOCK 75, PLAN 1OM-766, FORMER TWP. OF DARLINGTON

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-75-86 be received; and
2. THAT the application submitted by W.E. Roth Construction to rezone a parcel of land
located in Part Lot 34, Concession 2, Block 75, Plan 1OM-766, former Township of
Darlington to permit the development of a commercial plaza and office facilities,
be received and referred to Staff for processing and a subsequent report and public
meeting.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On March 11, 1986, the Planning Department received an application for rezoning from
W.E. Roth Construction to permit the construction of a commercial plaza and office
facilities having a gross floor area of 1110m2 (11,948 sq.ft. ) .
The application has been circulated, in accordance with departmental procedure, to various
agencies and Town departments for their comment. It is noted for the Committee' s
information that an application has been recently filed with the Region of Durham Planning
Department to amend the appropriate Official Plan provisions with respect to maximum floor
area permitted.

Accordingly, it is recommended that the application be received for
information and referred back to Staff for the preparation of a subsequent
report.

procedure for processing applications, wishes to obtain your comments before
submitting its recommendations to the Town of Newcastle General Purpose and
Administration Committee.
