SUBJECT: APPLICATION FOR REZONING - FILE: DEV 85-25

RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . That Report PD-127-85 be received; and
2. That an application, submitted by Linchris Homes
Limited, to rezone a parcel of land in Part of Lot
35, Concession 2, Block 85, on Plan 764 to permit
the development of a commercial plaza, be received
and referred to Staff for processing and a
subsequent report and public hearing.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On August 19, 1985, the Planning Department received an
application, submitted by Linchris Homes Limited, to rezone a
parcel of land located in Lot 35, Concession 2, Block 85, Plan
* 764, former Township of Darlington (see attached).
The submission of the rezoning application is to permit the
development of a commercial plaza having a gross floor area
maximum of 1,115m2 (12,000 sq.ft. ) . The application has been
circulated to various agencies and Town departments for their
* comments (see attached).
It is recommended that the application be received for
information and referred back to Staff for a subsequent report.
At such time as the necessary circulation has been completed,
Staff shall schedule this application for a public meeting of the
General Purpose and Administration Committee pursuant to the
requirements of the Planning Act.
