SUBJECT: REZONING APPLICATION - JANET MAYER
PART LOT 14, CONCESSION 8, DARLINGTON
FILE: DEV 85-26
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . That Report PD-134-85 be received; and
2. Than an application submitted by Mrs. J . Mayers to
rezone a parcel of land in Part of Lot 14,
Concession 8 to permit the development of a
residential lot having a minimum lot area of 0.3ha,
be received and referred to Staff for processing and
a subsequent report and public hearing.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On August 28, 1985, the Planning Department received an
application, submitted by Mrs. J. Mayer, to rezone a parcel of
land located in Lot 14, Concession 8, former Township of
* Darlington (see attached) . The submission of the rezoning
application is to permit the development of a residential lot
having a minimum lot area of 0.3ha.
The application has been circulated to various agencies and Town
* departments for their comments (see attached) .
It is recommended that the application be received for
information and referred back to Staff for a subsequent report.
At such time as the necessary circulation has been completed,
Staff shall schedule this application for a public meeting of the
General Purpose and Administration Committee pursuant to the
requirements of the Planning Act.

The Town of Newcastle Planning and Development Committee is considering an
application for an amendment to Zoning By-law N84-63 and, pursuant to its procedure
for processing applications, wishes to obtain your comments before submitting its
recommendations to the Town of Newcastle General Purpose and Administration
Committee for the meeting.
