THAT Report PD-158-85 be received; and 2. THAT the Town's guidelines for assigning municipal street addresses be amended by changing, from 7.5 metres to 4.5 metres, the grid system for north/south arterial roads. uCd REPORT NO. : PD-158-85 Page 2 BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: On September 16, 1985 the General Purpose and Administration Committee considered Staff Report PD-132-85 in respect of municipal street addresses. The Staff recommendation was approved by Council on September 23, 1985 and subsequently, Staff have proceeded with the preparation of house numbering plans for various areas of the Town. However, it has come to our attention that there is a typographical error within the approved policy which should be corrected inasmuch as it has a substantive impact upon the grid system. In that regard, the proposed north/south grid was identified as having an interval of 7.5 metres. This should read 4.5 metres. It would, therefore, be appropriate to amend the guideline to make this correction as recommended by Staff. Respectfu s d, T.T. Edwards, M.C.I .P. Director of Planning TTE*j ip October 18, 1985
