PART LOT 9, CONCESSION 1, FORMER TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE OUR FILE: 18T-76011 RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. THAT Report PD-160-85 be received; and 2. THAT Council adopt the following resolution: "The Council of the Town of Newcastle hereby requests the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing to extend the draft plan approval for Subdivision 18T-76011 for a further one year period to January 29, 1987"; and 3. THAT the request in 2 above be forwarded to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, and that Penwest Developments Ltd. be so advised. I REPORT NO. : PD-160-85 Page 2 BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: * A copy of the attached letter was received by the Planning and Development Department on October 21, 1985. The letter addressed to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, from Penwest Development Corporation Limited, states that the draft plan approval of the above-mentioned plan will lapse on January 29, 1986. In reviewing this notice of expiration in conjunction with the status of the proposed subdivision, Staff would have no objection to the approval of a further one (1) year extension in draft plan approval of 18T-76011. The reason for the request is that we are in the final stages of development . The engineering is virtually complete for Phase I and we are presently negotiating subdivision agreements . We hope to be registered in the next few months . We trust the foregoing is sufficient .
