HomeMy WebLinkAbout09/29/1964 . . . . /;/ COUNCIL HINUTES A Special meeting .of Bowmanville Town Council convened at 6:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Town Hall on Tuesday September 29, 1964 with His 'v{orship Mayor Ivan II/[. Hobbs in the Chair. All members present: I It was explained that the meeting had been called in order to comply with Rule # 9 and # 10 of the Ontario Municipal Board requiring that the Clerk discuss any objections to Zoning Amendment By-law #1916 with Council. Rule 9 and 10 are as follows:- "9: At or prior to the time of making such application for approval the Clerk of the municipality shall report to the council particulars of each objection and of each request for a change in provisions received. 10: The Clerk shall report to the Board the position to be taken by the municipality upon each request and each objection and upon receipt of such report the Board will give directions for hearing and for notice thereof." The objections received to Paragraph 10 and Paragraph 5 of By-law #1916 were outlined for Councils consideration following which it was! Moved by Con. Hooper, seconded by Con. Fice. THAT we concur in the provisions of section 10 as submitted in By-law #1916 and support the request for this Zoning change. THAT we reverse our position in respect to clause 5 of Zoning By-law #1916 and support objections to this Zoning change. MOTION CARRIED The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m. on motion of Reeve Little and Councillor Fice. CARRIED
