SUBJECT: APPLICATION FOR REZONING - WALTER REBOT
PART LOT 31, CONCESSION 5, DARLINGTON

RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . That Report PD-84-85 be received; and
2. That an application submitted by Mr. Walter, Rebot
to rezone a parcel of land in Part of Lot 31,
Concession 5, former, Township of Darlington to permit
the development of a Farm Implement Dealership, be
received and referred to Staff for processing and a
subsequent report and public hearing.

BACKGROUND:
On May 8, 1985, the Planning Department received an application
submitted by Mr. Walter Rebot to rezone a parcel of land located in
Part of Lot 31, Concession 5, former Township of Darlington (see
* attached). The submission of the rezoning application is to permit
the development of a Farm Implement Dealership.
The application has been circulated to various agencies and Town
* departments for their comments, and attached is a copy of the
circulation letter and key plan for Council 's information.
Staff would note for Committee's information that, in addition to
the conformity of said use within the Regional Official Plan, the
local municipality is to "deem the proposal compatible with the
surrounding area". Accordingly, Staff has requested of the
applicant , the following information:
a) confirmation/information re: "Letter of Intent"
of the business operation to be submitted in
support of the proposed use from the distributor
outlining the "line of farm machinery" to be
offered through this dealership.
b) proposed hours of operation. . .number of days/per
week. . .evening hours if applicable.
c) method of controlling "noise emission levels" from
farm machinery through operating and repairing
same on site. . .where repairs will be carried out
i .e. ; inside or outside; design of structure may
incorporate noise control measures in
construction.

It is recommended that the application be received for information
and referred back to Staff for a subsequent report. At such time

as the necessary circulation has been completed, Staff shall
schedule this application for a public meeting of the General
Purpose and Administration Committee pursuant to the requirements
of the Planning Act.
