SUBJECT: APPLICATION FOR REZONING - M. TAMBLYN

RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the
following:
1 . That Report PD-120-84 be received; and
2. That the application submitted by M. Tamblyn
to rezone a 2.2 hectare parcel of land in Part
of Lot 26, Concession 5, former Township of
Clarke to permit the development of four
residential lots, be referred to Staff for
processing and a subsequent report and public
hearing.

BACKGROUND:
On May 30, 1984, the Planning Department received an
application submitted by Mrs. M. Tamblyn to rezone a 2.2
hectare parcel of land located in Part of Lot 26, Concession
5, former Township of Clarke (see attached map). The
purpose of the rezoning would be to permit the creation of 4
residential lots.
The application has been circulated to various agencies for
their comments, and attached is a copy of the circulation
letter and key plan for Council 's information.
It is recommended that the application be received for
information and referred back to staff for a subsequent
report. At such time as the necessary circulation has been
completed, staff shall schedule this application for a
public meeting of the General Purpose and Administration
Committee pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act.

PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED
ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Newcastle will hold a public meeting on Tuesday,
September 4, 1984 at 9:30 a.m. at the Bowmanville Library
Auditorium, 62 Temperance Street, Bowmanville, Ontario to
consider a proposed zoning by-law amendment under Section 34
of the Planning Act.
The proposed zoning by-law amendment would change the zone
category of a 0.22 hectare (0.55 acre) parcel of land located
in Part Lot 26, Concession 5, former Township of Clarke (as
shown below) from "A-Agricultural" to a Special Provision to
permit the creation of individual residential lots for four
existing residential dwellings.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make
written or verbal representation either in support of or in
opposition to the proposed zoning by-law amendment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed zoning
by-law amendment is available for inspection between 8:30 am.
and 4:30 p.m. at the Planning Department, Municipal Offices,
Hampton, Ontario.

The Town of Newcastle Planning and Development Committee is considering
