SUBJECT: NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED
ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT
CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF HOPE
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the
following:
1 . That Report PD-147-84 be received; and
2. That Notice of Public Meeting concerning a
proposed Zoning By-law Amendment of the
Township of Hope be received and filed; and
3. That Council endorse Staff's action.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Notice of Public Meeting concerning a proposed Zoning By-law
Amendment of the Township of Hope was forwarded to the
Planning and Development Department on July 25, 1984.
The proposed amendment would change the zoning of a parcel
of land located in Part of Lot 33, Concession 8, Township of
Hope. The zoning of these lands will change from General
Agricultural (A2) to Rural Residential Exception Fourteen
(RR-14) Zone. The By-law Amendment covers an area of the
Township of Hope which would have no effect on the interests
of the Town of Newcastle and therefore, no further action on
this amendment is required.

However, we note that the public meeting was on August 21 ,
1984 and if the amendment is passed that date by the Council
of the Township of Hope, the last date for filing objections
would be September 25, 1984.

PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED 25 1984
ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
PLANNING DEPARTMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Hope will hold a
public meeting on August 21st, 1984, at 8:30 P.M. at the Welcome Fire Hall,
Concession 3, part of Lot 14, to consider a proposed zoning by-law amendment under
Section 34 of The Planning Act.
The proposed zoning by-law amendment would change the zoning of the subject lands
being Concession 8, Part of Lot 33, in the Township of Hope .from General Agri-
cultural (A2) to Rural Residential Exception Fourteen (RR-14) Zone.
Tne RR-14 Zone shall have a minimum lot area requirement of 1.5 hectares and a
minimum lot frontage requirement of 164.5 meters. In all other respects, the ,
provisions of the Rural Residential Zone shall apply and be complied with.
Any person may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation
either in support of or in opposition to the proposed zoning by-law amendment.
Additional information relating to the proposed zoning by-law amendment is available
for inspection between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday to Friday, at the Clerk's
Office in the Township of Hope office, 72 Walton Street, Port Hope, Ontario.
