That Report PD-177-84 and the minutes of the Committee of Adjustment meeting of September 26, 1984 be received for information. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: For the information of the General Purpose and * Administration Committee, staff have prepared the attached list of applications to the Committee of Adjustment for the meeting of September 26, 1984. F. Rehder Member Jean Payne Member H. C. Muir Member Arnold Reicheld Director of Planning Terry Edwards Secretary Carrol Clemens ABSENT: Absent J. P. Murdoch APPLICATIONS: A 81/84 - Roland. & Lorraine Weigel , Lot 20, Concession 2, Darlington.. Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in order to permit the applicant to construct an attached garage in the front yard, leaving an exterior side yard of 47 feet, instead of the required 15 m (50 ft. ) exterior side yard. Mr. Weigel appeared in support of this application. No other person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application. Moved by Mr. Reicheld, seconded by Mr. Rehder, "THAT as the requested variance does not offend the intent of the Official Plan or Zoning By-law and would not appear to have a detrimental effect on the surrounding neighbourhood and due to the fact that the exterior side yard variance is required because of expropriations, and as the house fronts on the north-south road rather than Highway # 2 as designated to be the frontage in the by-law, the variance is considered minor in nature and permission is GRANTED to construct an attached garage in the front yard, leaving an exterior side yord of 47 ft. This approval is conditional upon no appeals being filed against Sections 3.1 (d) , 6.2 or 9.2 of By-law No. 84-63, in so far as relates to front yard set back. DEFERRMENTS: Moved by Mrs. Payne, seconded by Mr. Muir, "THAT Application No. A 82/84 be deferred to the next meeting of the committee to allow recirculation of notice of hearing to include a variance with respect of parking." "CARRIED" OTHER BUISINESS: Moved by Mr. Rehder, seconded by Mrs. Payne, "THAT the minutes of the last meeting be approved as circulated" "CARRIED" Appeal date for the foregoing applications is October 26, 1984.
