COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT
September 26, 1984 7:30 p.m.
Court Room # 2, Police Building, Bowmanville
PRESENT:
Chairman T. F. Rehder
Member Jean Payne
Member H. C. Muir
Member Arnold Reicheld
Director of Planning Terry Edwards
Secretary Carrol Clemens
ABSENT:
Absent J. P. Murdoch
APPLICATIONS:
A 81/84 - Roland. & Lorraine Weigel , Lot 20, Concession 2, Darlington..
Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in
order to permit the applicant to construct an attached garage in the
front yard, leaving an exterior side yard of 47 feet, instead of the
required 15 m (50 ft. ) exterior side yard.
Mr. Weigel appeared in support of this application. No other person
appeared in support of or in opposition to this application.
Moved by Mr. Reicheld, seconded by Mr. Rehder,
"THAT as the requested variance does not offend the
intent of the Official Plan or Zoning By-law and would
not appear to have a detrimental effect on the surrounding
neighbourhood and due to the fact that the exterior side
yard variance is required because of expropriations, and
as the house fronts on the north-south road rather than
Highway # 2 as designated to be the frontage in the by-law,
the variance is considered minor in nature and permission
is GRANTED to construct an attached garage in the front
yard, leaving an exterior side yord of 47 ft. This approval
is conditional upon no appeals being filed against Sections
3.1 (d) , 6.2 or 9.2 of By-law No. 84-63, in so far as relates
to front yard set back. "
