BACKGROUND 1.1 Our report covers the month March 2004. It is our intent to provide Committee with information relevant to this department, in a timely manner. 2. REPORT 2.1 Staff has changed the table attached to show the breakdown of calls responded to, by each station, as well as the total calls. The department responded to 219 calls during this period and recorded total fire loss at $267,000.00. *VOLUNTEER STANDBY RESPONSES As indicated in the table attached, Station 1 volunteer firefIghters were activated eight times and Station 4 volunteer fIrefighters five times for standby, all were as a result of Pumper 1 and Pumper 4 responding to emergency calls. Station I and 4 Volunteers were also activated four times while the duty crews for Pumper 1 and Pumper 4 completed training. 902 .
