SUBJECT: APPLICATION FOR REZONING - FILE: DEV 84-36
VELTRI AND SON LIMITED
PART LOT 32, CONC. 2, FORMER TWP. OF DARLINGTON
PARTS OF 12,13,14 & 15, PLAN 1OR-1389
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the
following :
1 . That Report PD-186-84 be received; and
2. That the application submitted by D.G. Biddle
and Associates on behalf of Veltri and Son
Limited to rezone a parcel of land in Part of
Lot 32, Concession 2, former Township of
Darlington, from "R1-4 Urban Residential
Exception (R1 -4) Zone" to "EP-Environmental
Protection Zone" be received and referred to
Staff for processing and a subsequent report
and public hearing.

BACKGROUND:
On October 26, 1984, the Planning Department received an
application submitted by D.G. Biddle and Associates on
behalf of Veltri and Son Limited to rezone a parcel of land
located in Part of Lot 32, Concession 2, former Township of
* Darlington (see attached). The submission of the rezoning
application is in acknowledgement of discussions that the
applicant has had with the Central Lake Ontario Conservation
Authority Staff respecting the subject property and the
providing of a building envelope on the southerly portions
of Parts 12 and 15 for residential purposes.
The application has been circulated to various agencies and
* Town departments for their comments, and attached is a copy
of the circulation letter and key plan for Council 's
information.
It is recommended that the application be received for
information and referred back to staff for a subsequent
report. At such time as the necessary circulation has been
completed, staff shall schedule this application for a
public meeting of the General Purpose and Administration
Committee pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act.

The Town of Newcastle Planning and Development Committee is considering
