SUBJECT: APPLICATION FOR REZONING - D. WALKER
PART LOT 15, CONCESSION 3, CLARKE
FILE: DEV 83-39
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the
following:
1 . That Report PD-6-84 be received; and
2. That the application submitted by Mr. D. Walker
to rezone a 19.4 hectare parcel in Part Lot 15,
Concession 3, former Township of Clarke, to
permit a baseball tournament site be referred
to Staff for a processing and subsequent report
and public hearing.

BACKGROUND:
On December 9, 1983, the Planning Department received an
application submitted by Mr. D. Walker to rezone a 19.4
hectare (48 acre) parcel of land in Part Lot 15, Concession
* 3, former Township of Clarke (see attached map). The
purpose of the rezoning would be to permit the development
of a baseball tournament site for use on summer weekends
only. The facilities provided are proposed to include four
(4) baseball diamonds, parking, a play park, picnic grounds,
and overnight camping accommodation for players and their
families. Staff note that the proposal is also subject to
site plan approval .
The application has been circulated to various agencies for
comment and attached is a copy of the circulation letter and
key plan for Council 's information.

It is recommended that the application be received for
information and referred back to Staff for a subsequent
report. At such time as the necessary circulation has been
completed, staff shall schedule this application for a
public meeting of the General Purpose and Administration
Committee pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act.
