SUBJECT: EXTENSION OF DRAFT PLAN APPROVAL - 18T-76071
PART LOT 14, CON. 2, FORMER TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE
LUVERME INVESTMENTS LIMITED
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the
following :
1 . That Report PD-14-84 be received; and
2. That Council adopt the following resolution :
"The Council of the Town of Newcastle hereby
requests the Minister of Municipal Affairs to
extend the draft plan approval for Subdivision
18T-76071 for a further one year period to
March 22, 1985" ; and
3. That the request in 2 above be forwarded to the
Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and
that Mr. L.V. Walker of Luverme Investments

Limited be so advised.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
* A copy of the attached letter was received by the Planning
and Development Department on December 16, 1983. The letter
forwarded by Mr. L. I. Walker, President of Luverme
Investments Limited requests an extension of draft plan
approval for subdivision 18T-76071 .
In reviewing this request, staff note that the developers
have requested and received approval for daft plan extension
on several occasions. This was necessary in order to allow
the developers to negotiate the appropriate agreements with
the Town of Newcastle, Region of Durham and the Central Lake
Ontario Conservation Authority.
Therefore, staff have no objection to the approval of a
further one year extension in draft plan approval of
18T-76071 .
