SUBJECT: APPLICATION FOR REZONING - FILE: DEV 84-5
1927 INVESTMENTS LIMITED
PART LOT 19, CONCESSION 8, FORMER TOWNSHIP OF
DARLINGTON
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the
following :
1 . That Report PD-55-84 be received; and
2. That the application submitted by 1927
Investments Limited to rezone a 12.60 hectare
parcel in Part Lot 19, Concession 8, former
Township of Darlington , to permit a twenty-two
(22) lot residential Plan of Subdivision be
referred to Staff for processing and a
subsequent report and public hearing.

BACKGROUND:
On February 14, 1984, the Planning Department received an
application submitted by 1927 Investments Limited to rezone
a 12.60 hectare parcel of land in Part Lot 19, Concession 8,
* former Township of Darlington (see attached map). The
purpose of the rezoning would be to implement the
development of a 2.2 lot residential Plan of Subdivision as
approved by the Town of Newcastle on January 23, 1984.
Staff would note that draft approval had not been issued at
the time this report was prepared.
The application has been circulated to various agencies for
comment and attached is a copy of the circulation letter and
key plan for Council 's information.
It is recommended that the application be received for
information and referred back to Staff for a subsequent
report. At such time as the necessary circulation has been
completed, staff shall schedule this application for a
public meeting of the General Purpose and Administration
Committee pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act.
