SUBJECT: APPLICATION FOR REZONING - BRUCE MOASE
PART LOT 34, CONCESSION 2, DARLINGTON

RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the
following :
1 . That Report PD-69-84 be received ; and
2. That the application submitted by Mr. Bruce
Moase to rezone a 1030m2 triangular parcel
of land in Part of Lot 34, Concession 2, former
Township of Darlington, from "R2-Second Density
Residential " to Special Purpose Commercial
(incorporated with Special Purpose Commercial
By-law 81 -123) be received and referred to
staff for processing and a subsequent report
and public hearing.

BACKGROUND:
On February 29, 1984, the Planning Department received an
application submitted by Mr. Bruce Moase to rezone a
1030m2 parcel of land located in Part of Lot 34,
* Concession 2, former Township of Darlington (see attached
map). The purpose of the rezoning would be to permit the
inclusion of the subject property within Special Purpose
Commercial By-law 81 -123, to permit a Motor Vehicle Sales
and Service establishment.
The application has been circulated to various agencies and
* Town departments for their comments, and attached is a copy
of the circulation letter and key plan for Council 's
information.
It is recommended that the application be received for
information and referred back to staff for a subsequent
report. At such time as the necessary circulation has been
completed, staff shall schedule this application for a
public meeting of the General Purpose and Administration
Committee pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act.
Staff note that a previous application, (File: DEV 82-9)
resulted in an OMB decision of denial as premature, pending
a proposed use. The current application was accompanied by
a statement of proposed use, indicating the site would be
redeveloped for a Motor Vehicle Sales and Service
establishment.
