OF DARLINGTON, NOW TOWN OF NEWCASTLE COURTICE HEIGHTS DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following : 1 . That Report PD-95-84 be received; and 2. That Council adopt the following resolution : "That the correspondence from the Ontario Municipal Board dated April 11 , 1984, be received and the Ontario Municipal Board be advised that the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle has no objections to the extensions to the draft plan approval of Plans 18T-76048 and 18T-76027 to June 12, 1985" ; and I 3. That the request in 2 above, be forwarded to the Ontario Municipal Board, and that Courtice Heights Developments Ltd. be so advised. . . .2 p/ I REPORT NO. : PD-95-84 Page 2 BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: * A copy of the attached letter was received by the Planning and Development Department on April 6, 1984. The letter addressed to the Ontario Municipal Board from Messrs. Davis , Webb, Barristers & Solicitors, on behalf of Courtice Heights Developments Limited, requests approval of an additional one year extension in draft approval of Subdivision 18T-76027, located in Part of Lots 31 and 32, Concession 2, Darlington. The purpose for the requested extension is to enable the developers to negotiate the required Subdivision Agreements, and to allow for additional time in order to satisfy the various conditions of draft plan approval . In that regard, Staff would note that the Subdivision Agreement between the Town and Courtice Heights (South) has been registered on title (September 22, 1983) and would therefore, have no objection to the one year extension of draft plan approval 18T-76027 to June 12, 1985. * Further to the above, a letter (attached) dated April 11 , 1984 from the Ontario Municipal Board was received April 13, 1984, stating that the Board required a letter of consent from the Town of Newcastle and the Region of Durham agreeing to a further twelve (12) month extension of draft approval of Plans of Subdivision 1817-76027 and 18T-76048. In that regard, Staff would note that the Subdivision Agreement between the Town and Courtice Heights (North) has been submitted for execution by the Town and subsequently registered. It is Staff's understanding that a By-law will be forwarded for Committee' s consideration as per execution. . . .3 REPORT NO. : PD-95-84 Page 3 Accordingly, Staff would have no objection to the one (1 ) year extension of draft plan approval 18T-76048 to June 12th, 1985.
