THAT the minutes of a meeting of Council held on February 16th, 1970, be approved as printed. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-1S6 Moved by Con. Bell, seconded by Reeve Dykstra. THAT the minutes of a meeting of the Committee of the Whale, held on February 23rd, 1970, be approved as printed. "CARRIED" The Mayor appointed Councillor Prout, Reeve Dykstra and Councillor Cobban to the Committee as required by Resolution #CW-84. Resolution #C-1S7 Moved by Reeve Dykstra, seconded by Con. Bell. THAT the minutes of a Special meeting of the Committee of the Whole held on February 24th, 1970, be approved as printed, subject to amendment of Resolution #CW-99, the amendment being the word "with" replaced by "without" and the word "have" replaced by "hire." "CARRIED" Resolution #C-1S8 ~~ved by Con. Hooper, seconded by Con. Prout. 'THAT the Recreation Committee be advised that Council has no plans for renovating the Town Hall Auditorium at this time. THAT the Board of Education be requested to meet with a member of Council and the Director of Recreation to discuss the plans of the proposed auditorium. "CARRIED" Councillor Hooper reported to Council that he had advised the Police Association that there was no point in having a further meeting at the present time regarding the wage agreement, as they had made no reply to the offer of $7.28.00 per annum plus other fringe benefits and it was assumed that it had been rejected. He also advised that the negotiating committee was withdrawing the offer on the basis of non-acceptance by the Association. nayor Hobbs reported on a letter which he had received from the Honourable Stanley J. Randall concerning clarification of a misquotation which had been made in the local newspapers.
