be approved.

THAT the minutes of the Finance Committee meeting held on April
14, 1966 be approved.

THAT the minutes of the Finance Committee meet.ing held on April
14, 1966 be amended by changing Resolution #FC-36 to mean that
Council commits itself to making a grant of $2,000. with $500.
payable in 1966 and $1,500. payable in 1967.

THAT the minutes of the Board of Works Committee meeting held
on April 18, 1966 be approved.

Representatives of the Rotary Club of Bowmanville attended the
meeting to support their letter requesting Council to consider
the creek valley park as a centennial project. Mr. George
Vice acted as spokesman.

sider designating the month of Mayas Red Shield month in Bow-
manville and grant permission to the Salvation Army to conduct
a blitz on May 2, 1966.

THAT Councillor Rundle act with Councillor Chant as Chairman
of the Public Property Committee and attend meetings of the
Arena Commission.

THAT Whereas the 1965-1975 Counties Road Study Report shows
that Liberty Street is intended to be assumed by the Counties
in 1966;
And Whereas Council is concerned over the narrow and hazardous
subway formed by the C.P.R. railway tracts crossing over Liberty
Street;
And Whereas the Board of Transport Commissioners is anxious to
receive submissions with regard to the subway;
Therefore be it resolved that Council request the Uni~ed Coun-
ties to make application to the Board of Transport Commissioners
for Canada for the reconstruction of the subway under the tracks
of the C.P.R. on Liberty Street in Bowmanville at mile 163.58
Belleville Subdivision.
