Bowmanville THAT Council accept with appreciation the proposals of the
Horticultural Bowmanville Horticultural Society to beautify the cenotaph
Society area and municipal owned land at the intersection of Base Line
Road and Liberty Street.

THAT the third and final reading of the following by-laws be
approved:
1.
aaby-law to amend By-law No. 1957, being
a by-law to authorize the purchase of
land required for the establishment of
industry in the Town of Bowmanville and
to provide for the borrowing of $30,000.00
upon debentures therefor by reducing the
amount to be borrowed to $24,000.00 and
making certain other changes.
_ being a by-law to authorize the borrowing
of $102,800.00 upon debentures to pay the
cost of constructing a sanitary sewer, a
watermain and a bridge over the Soper Creek
on the Base Line Road.

3. By-law No. 1988 - a by-law to amend By-law No. 1927, being
a by-law to provide for the borrowing of
$148,824.00 upon debentures for the pur-
pose of constructing and equipping a
Public Library, by reducing the amount

mating certain other changes.
4. By-law No. 1989 - a by-law to amend By-law No. 1946, being
a by-law to authorize the construction ,'of
a Works Department building and to provide
for the borrowing of $53,727.00 upon deb-
enture s therefor, by increasing the amount
to be debentured to $53,800.00 and making
certain other changes.

local improvement under The Local Improve-
ment Act.
7. By-law No. 1992 - being a by-law to consolidate the sums
authorized to be borrowecl by By-laws Nos.
1987, 1990, 1927 as amended by 1988, 1991,
1946 as amended by 1989 and 1957 as amend-
ed by 1973 into one sum of $268,300.00 and
to borrow same by the issue of debentures
therefor.

off-street parking lot, be purchased for a total amount of

interim payment of subsidy based upon payments made by the
Corporation on works authorized by By-laws Nos. 1964 and 1971,
