January 16, 1967
Minutes of the regular meeting of Council held in the Town
Hall on the above date at 7:30 p.m. with His Worship Mayor
Ivan M. Hobbs in the Chair.

THAT the minutes of the regular meeting of Council held on
January 3, 1967 be approved.

THAT the Works Superintendent attend the Ontario Good Roads
Association Convention in Toronto on February 20th, 2lst and
22nd, 1967 and that any member of Council wishing to attend
the one day Seminar for Councillors on February 20th, be paid
their expenses.

THAT the letter from Mr. & Mrs. R. Leaman with regara to a dog
trespassing on their pro,erty be hell. in obeyance pending the
results of legal action being taken by them.

regar. to the Gamble Hockey School rates be receivea and filed.

THAT Council enter into an Agreement with the Canadian National
Railways to pay an annual rental of $5.00 for the permission
of Canadian National allowing the Town of BOWIDanville to
maintain ana use a water main on approximately 260 Lineal feet
of Railway property.

THAT the Mayor and Reeve attend the Ontario Mayors and Reeves
Conference in Niagara Falls on May 14 to May 17, 1967 inclusive,
and failing the attendance of either of them, that the Mayor
be empowered to appoint a replacement.

THAT the nominal sum of $1.00 be accepted as payment of
compensation by the Department of Highways for a one foot
reserve strip of Hunt Street on the north side, and a one
foot reserve strip of Hunt Street on the south side of
Highway No. 401.
