HomeMy WebLinkAbout01/31/1967 e e Council SPECIAL IvlEETING January 31, 1967 A special meeting of Council for the purpose of amending the Centennial project By-law and establishing certain parks as Community Centres was held in the Town Hall on the above date at 9:40 p.m. Present: ~1ayor Deputy Heeve Councillors Ivan M. Hobbs \1'. Fice J. Bourke K. Nicks E. Rundle Mrs. A. Oke G. Hughes M. Prout Absent: Reeve: S. Little - ill By-laws No. 67-3 & 67-4 1st reading Resolution #C-45 Moved by Con. Bourke, seconded by Deputy Heeve Fice. THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law No. 67-3, being a By-law to establish a Community Centre at Lord Blgin Park and Memorial Park and By-law No. 67-4, being a By-law to amend By-law No. 1997 a By-law to authorize a project in observance of the Centennial and that the said By-laws be now read a first time. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-46 Moved by Con. Rundle, seconded by Con. Oke. 2nd reading THAT the second reading of By-laws No. 67-3 and 67-4 be approved. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-47 Moved by Con. Hughes, seconded by Con. Prout. 3rd reading THAT the third and final reading of By-laws numbered 67-3 and 67-4 be approved. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-4e J. Hayman Moved by Con. Nicks, seconded by Con. Rundle. THAT James Hayman be hired at an annual salary of $600.00 to be responsible for the regular maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and fire alarm system of the Fire Department.
